The End is Near. . . .



Que pasa Mufasa. Well technically he is dead *Spoiler Alert*. Well it looks like the end of this years Super Awesome Movie Game is coming to a close. I don't have my sheets in front of me but i believe that the final weekend of movie releases is this weekend (OK give me a second, let me pull it out) Ok I'm back, did you miss Me, yeah i know you did. Well it looks like this is the finally week of movie releases. So it all comes down to The Campaign, Bourne Legacy and Hope Springs.
     I really do not see El Dark Knight-O to catch up to Avenger 600+ million dollar summer. TDK is barley half way there, but we do still have about 4 weeks of actual admissions to take place, where the final count adds up.  It is really a shame because i really did want TDK to beat Avengers (being a DC guy and all). Nobody saw it coming. I am pretty sure Colorado had some to do with it, but whatever TDK always has something hanging over its head to shine/unshine light on it. I believe it was a really good movie, even after its flaws. So do yourself a favor and watch it in the theaters before it runs its course (preferable before Sept 9). 
   Well looking over the contestants numbers looks like it is going to be an photo finish. I have an idea of what the Sleeper hit and Summer flop will be, but as Stinker Hit I have to do some homework.  As for the leader it is really up in the air a coupe people have some great points where almost all of us missed the highest point grabber, #1 Box office. I wont look at the sheets again until the final is done, i liked to be surprised too, so don't ask me who is winning.
  This weekend is gonna be The Funny guys vs a Spy Guy. I'm sure one of these will knock TDKR from the top Weekend spot, but which one is really up to you. ok that's enough i am tired and it is late, I have to wake up in the morning and make me a sandwich.

BTW- Jaws comes out next weekend on Blu Ray for the first time. and it is going to look damn glorious on HD. Cant wait to get it. Actually I am buying the Steelbook from the UK. Yeah i buy movies from overseas and especially steelbooks. i am a junkie on those really (future post about my Blu ray collecting in the future) but yeah excited for that realease. do yourself a favor and buy it. The Original Summer Blockbuster Movie.

Well well,, how you doing Mother Truckers (unless your mom is a trucker then you don't have to pay attention to that last line, if she is then you probably dont see her as much because she is always on the road and prob eats at the wonderful Mexican Restaurant Don Chile)  Well its been a while since I posted, you know with me getting ready for Comic Con and all (btw it was Super Totally Awesome, more on that later)
Well we are finally here on the Eve of the the biggest movie released day to date, yes im talking about The Dark Knight Rises. Mocs & Me already have our Midnight showing tickets for tonight, even though i have to close today.  Probably the most anticipated movie this year next to The Avengers, which is currently sitting at the top of the Summer Movie Box Office. That could all change this week, hopefully.
Well this isnt about whats coming out but really about the Super Awesome Movie Game 2012.  As in previous post everyone had seen where everyone else picked. As of the top 2 flicks well about 93% of the people had the exact same thing: 1.The Dark Knight Rises and 2. The Avengers. All everyboy except for Marci T, she is the only one who put Avengers at #1 and may have given her extra points if it manages to stay atop of TDKR. On the other hand she did put Bourne Legacy at #2 so those points may cancel out and keep her even with everyone else. Kiki had Bats #1 but for some reason she thought Bourne Legacy was going to do better then Avengers and put Bourne at #2 (wait thats 2 peps thinking bourne is going to be box office gold, we'll have to wait and see) So as it looks like now we are just anticipating the opening numbers for TDKR which could change the course of the game. Again almost everybody put TDKR to take the top spot on the opening Weekend numbers, except for: you guessed it marci put the Avengers. Oh wait a minute someone other smart individual put Avengers at #1 Weekend box office, yeup that'll be me.

Well well MothaFuckas. Ok that probably doesn’t apply to everyone. Any ladies not you. But definitely to Tony and Rene and Gaygar.

Well last semana we saw ridely Scotts Gigantic looking Prometheus take dock and try to get our money. Haven’t gotten mine yet, this week definitely after I see the must See Alien, Aliens (the better one) and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo directors Alien Tres. Watching it now so don’t bother me, I said don’t talk to me..... Finally we get the shaven headed Zuul. I will pay my semi hard earned money and go to a good theater to see this. Plus I already bought my tickets to El Dark Knight Midnight, mothafuckas. Not IMAX though cause they sold out already, but it gives me another excuse to watch it and to shimmy it closer and past Los Avengers. Well really mixed reviews on the Prome. I’ll be going in fresh with the Alien Story engraved in my lovely cranium and my younger Wonder Twin Mocs is going in not watching any of it. So two different prospectives, I let you know how it goes, if you’re not fruit cake by then,

Ok enough Jar Jar Binks talk. This week Tom cruise singing, which at first looked semi kind of good, but now just simmered to a "ahh that movie is coming out" Also Happy Gilmores next atroscious (that’s how you spell it right, well if not your dumb) That’s My Boy. Don’t even want to waste my time on that. {Side note} Madagascar 3 came out too last week and just by the hair of the lions chinny chin chin did it beat out Prome, not on fridays numbers, but I guess the Mocosos really wanted to see this stuff. {Side side note} still kind of not really want to see this, but idk. Ok back to it Who is going to win this weeks spot. Is singing and dancing good enough to get number one or is Rock of Ages going to pull out. You see that I mixed it up on you You thought singing and dancing was going to be for ROA but I switched it and meant it for Madagascar. Me I think Madagascar comes out on top.

Okaley Dokaley So this weekend provded to be as expected with Snow White takeing the numero uno spot. Yeah opened rather softly with a mildly 54 million. Heres hopeing they do good overseas just to recollect its 170 budget. Seems like a going trend this summer, send 100+ million dollars on a supposed Summer Blockbuster with only makeing back about less then half. Sheesh, really check it out, the last 5 big movies that were realeased, aside from Avengers.
Ok well another battle this week is about to go into Space. Prometheus sees if can keep up with Madagascar and its lovely aray of crazy animals. Im hopeing for big things for Prometheus, but we'll see.
Ok half way through and we hit #6 and #5. I see a couple of the same flicks floating around these spaces.

OK OK so the Memorial Weekend past and seems that Will Smith-O is still a power to reckon with, but not as strong as he used to be on July 4 openings, let see if Independence Day 2 can secure his awesomely July 4th weekend.
Well Avengers have calmed down a bit, but not before it passes Star Wars Episode 1 and 10 Mill away from Dark Knights number 3 spot in the all time doestic box office. I really dont think the team can catch the giant blu guys, but possible could re-sink the Titanic.
This week sees Thor put up against himself in Snow White and The Huntsman and some big Ol' Boobs in Piranha 3DD. I will eventually see both, after i catch MIB3 this weekday.
So I need to speed this up a little so i am gouing to put 2 picks this time and so on until we hit hit numero 1 (which about 92% of yall picked the same thing)
 Looks like a bunch of the next movies are interchangable withing the next couple of place from #9 to #6.  but with some of these flicks out already and already hitting dirt and crashing, seems like some of these wont even make it on the master list at all.

Avengers Dominated, once again. and Battleship and Dictator didn't do much. GI Joe must have gotten scared because they have moved out of the summer and into March of 2013. Yes almost a full year, supposedly to do post 3D conversion. Maybe Avengers scared them because they were going to open just one week before Spider-man and thought i don't know maybe The Rock is scared of Spiders.
This week COULD, and that's a big could, see the knock off of Avengers with Men In Black 3.
