Ladies and Gentlemen, well those who are gentlemen because I guess you have to wear a bow tie and monocle all the time just to be considered a G-Man. And the Winner is. . . . . . .

Yes the time is here, no not the apocalypse (not yet), its the final calculations and announcement of the winner of the Summer Box Office 2013. CompuTron has been hard at work calculating and carrying the one to come up with the winner. I had to put in extra 13 AA batteries for Computron to go in on overload. Well this year we have got the highest scoring game ever with 39 (Wowzers) This person is either really smart or smrt. Well the top 10 Domestic was pretty all over, most peeps knew which ones were making it, just not in the right order. 1 person correctly answered the "Stinker Hit" (Grown Ups 2). Summer Flop also had just one guess it (The Lone Ranger). Sleeper Hit stayed true to its name with nobody guessing it correctly, The Conjuring. Well without further adue, here are the answers to this years game.

The End in Nigh, and by that I mean its already here. No, not the end of the World, because if it was there would not be internet (now that would really suck). No internet is like having no power, living in the Old age or during Hurricane season in Texas.  So anyways The Super Awesome Movie Game 2013 came to an end this week, the last date to receive revenue was this past weekend. A couple of movies rereleased their flicks these past weeks, to gain some extra cash. World War Z, Star Trek 2 & This is The End are a couple that benefited from this final release to help them past the coveted 200 & 100 Million mark. The final numbers are all locked in and the order of the top 10 movies are in place. Still, it will take me a couple of days to figure out the rest of the order and to calculate the winners. I will at lest give you the top 10 flicks of the Summer of 2013.  Most of them are no surprises while there was one or two lookers who snuck in at the end. Half of the flicks are sequals, which is down from last year whcih was closer to 77%, and all of them cracked the 100mil mark. A nice mix of animation, big budget, small budget, genre, sc-fi, superheroes, original & adaptation were sprinkled throughout, giving this years top 10 prob the most diverse ever. Well enough gibber jabby, Here is Your Top 10 Domestic movies of 2013 for the super Awesome Movie Game

1. Iron-Man 3
2. Despicable Me 2
3. Man of Steel
4. Monsters University
5. Fast & Furious 6
6. Star Trek Into Darkness
7. World War Z
8. The Heat
9. The Great Gatsby
10. The Conjuring

Honorable Mentions who just missed the Top 10
11. We are the Millers
12. Grown-Ups 2
13. The Wolverine

Where any of your picks on here. Any surprises?

Well this next month or so its dump month for movies, were nothing really good comes out because studios are holding their "Oscar" hopefuls until later in the year to be  qualified and "fresher". Either way we have the BluRay/dvd season in full effect. All the summer movies are being released for Home Video (yes even vhs, VHS 2 actually is being released in vhs) I already bought 4 blus this month.

Ok thats it i am tired and i gotta go get scared at work manana.
Go early and watch the trailers

ps Next week will have a contest because I have some extra Comic Con Stuff to give out.

Its a Pajaro, its a plane, no its the most anticipated Movie of 2013. In about a couple of hours I, along with millions other Supes (thats what the cool people call him) fans will finaly get to set there non Kryptonian eyes on The Man of Steel in theaters. In leading up to this flick, I have done my prep/marathon of Superman movies. My self (Manny <---- Thats what the cool people call me) am a bigger Superman fan than Batman one. Its been hard especially now since Batman was huge pop cultural sensation because of Christopher Nolans excellent Trilogy. Alot of people became more aware of The Bat and made it "Cool" to like him. Ive always liked the Bat, shoot I still have pictures of when I was a young lad wearing My Batman shirt.  I hope that this current movie can bring Supes up to and surpass the shadow of The Cowl. I still kind of hid my Superman love back a bit, until now. I have all the Superman movies on dvd with 2 diffrent collections, 2 blu rays, 1 steelbook, various animated blu rays, 1 vinyl record, a handfull of Graphic Novels, 1 Kryptonia Key to Supermans Ship, a drawing I did when I was in 6th grade of The Man of Steel (would post a picture of these cool things but most are back at my mums house in Texas) and almost all Smallville seasons on dvd, one can not talk Superman without mentioning Smallville. I think that the favourite of my views this past week that got me really excited for Man of Steel was my final Supes viewing of the Sereies Finale of Smallville. Those 2 hours sums up everything that is Clark Kent into becomeing the man of Tomorrow. So many emotions ran through that episode (I'm not gonna say I cried watching it again because it will make me look weak and I am too much of a Man I mean unless your a hot chick and you like that emotional stuff then yeah) it is really overwhelming. I mean waiting 10yrs for that one moment at the end. Means so much also because almost every episode I got to experience with Mocs, my sister, makes it that much more important. Which is another reason why I Love Superman so much. Ok enough Smallville talk, I could talk forever about that show but wont because this is Man of Steel week (but really do yourself a favor and watch The series finale if you are a true Superman fan) and the movie is going to be huge.

Mondos Poster by Martin Ansin
El Hombre de Acero has the studio and the promotional Juggernaut behind its flowing red cape. This flick already has made over 200 million dollars on promotional/sponsorship items alone, even before a minute of the flick hits the screen. This kind of promotion is set aside for the Big dogs like Star Wars and Marvels Avengers, so you know Geoff Johns and his colleagues are banking big time on this movie.
We the People hope that this is the Superman movie we have been waiting for. To finally challenge DCs long time nemesis Marvel, only time will tell now. The movie has been filmed, promoted and hyped more than enough now, its time for use to see the end result. Will Superman beat out the current Summer Box Office Champ Iron-Man 3, will it be the first stepping stone by DC into the inevitable Justice League Movie or will its faith be the same as its predecessor Superman Returns? Stay Tuned to find out (or at least a couple of weeks until its been out long enough)

To Vegas or hit the Nitrous Oxide

I hope he wears his seat belt.

Animal Mascots are funny
Que Pasa Mufasa and Mufasos, speaking of which you think they will make a sequal to Lion King, well not with Mufasa casue he is dead, Spoliers. Man what is it with kids movies that make your eyes tear up. I mean El Rey Leon, Up, Wall-E, Toy Story 3. They do a better job then most live actions. But you know what live action flicks do better. . . . Boobs, Yeah Boiiiiiiii. Ok Well enough about kiddy stuff lets talk about sex baby, lets talk about you and me, , quit getting off topic ok we are here for movies and being cool and the Super Awesome Movie Game.
In respect to last years Champion, I just finished watching Fast Five and most of all its previous incarnations. The Original is great, aside from its many (many) flaws. I think the reason I enjoy it so much is that it reminds me of High School and Leon and his iMotion (did he copyright that) car club. Probably the first sneek peek movie I saw before release day. Oaley Dokaley well 2 was worse then 1 but watchable, 3 didn't watch and not worth it, 4 Great come back, 5 best of the whole bunch and 6 well I guess we'll see this weekend. Fast & Furious 6 comes out this Friday along side The disappearing Doug in The Hangover Part III, which comes 1 day earlier today.  Which one are you going to see or would you see? Hangover 2 probably doesn't hold up at all and H3 is the "last" which you think will bring out all the fans. To me I prefer Fast & Furious franchise because it looks like so much damn fun. I mean fast cars, army tanks, Michelle Rodriguez (who will be at Houston's Comicpalooza this weekend www.comicpalooza.com), The Rock, cheesey one-liners and the Fight between Rodriguez and Carano which is enough to make me buy my own ticket. Hangover is fine but I'll wait for matinee and a week or so before I check it out. Well the rest of the country do the same or would they rather see the end of the Beeper Friendly hotels and animal mascots. Well it is time to choose again and Contesto Time, Super Awesome Movie Contest Time.
This time around you get a little bit more time but the same deadline; Saturday 9am (Pacific time). Choose which movie is going to be Numero Uno  in opening weekend (Friday - Sunday) and its opening Gross for this weekend. The one who gets the right movie and closer to actual gross (down to the dollar) wins 1 Month Free of streaming Netflix.
Will The Wolf Pack slip rufees into the Rock and Doms Coronas or will Spock put the Vulcan death grip on these two and stay atop for a 2nd week in a row. Alle Cuisine. . . (hand chopping action)

-Be early, don't forget the Trailers!-

ps. I got nothing for this.

Defend Your Honor Top 3 Opening Weekend
Sitting richly on top

One of the Better IM3 poster by Mondo
Que Pasa Mufasa (insert hyena laugh here). Well that was quick, the 1st weekend that is. Well wasn't as quick, prob the same time as every other weekend. Well just as almost everybody suspected the price of Iron rose. By rise I mean money and with the 2nd highest opening every (only behind the big brother Los Avengadores) Iron-Man 3 ran supreme. With a whopping 175 million (estimated until Monday mid day) buckaroos in the bank.  Just with first domestic weekend alone it almost recouped its budget of a hefty 200mil. If you include what it has already done overseas we are talking about adding 504 mil bringing the total internationally to 680mil. Yeah you read that right. Even with black or white reviews you can better believe that Iron-Mans adventures will continue even if the Invincible Robert Downing Jr isn't on board. We can almost bet we'll see him again in Avengers 2, but in what capacity, will it be Iron-Man. Let you ponder that.
Okay 1st contest seemed like a success to me. So with the final actual numbers not reporting in until Monday, it looks like 175 (usually +-5 mill) will be the winning numbers. If stands still, it looking like last years co-Champion La Rosey has taken this first round of SAMg sub-contest. Of course officially I'll say tomorrow because the number can fluctuate. Next contest will prob Fast & Furious 6 vs Hangover III.

Here are the Top 3 Opening Weekends (Fri-Sun) that each player choose. Seems like almost everybody picked Iron-Man 3 as the top notch flick with a mix of Man of Steel & Monsters U hitting the 1 & 2 spots on various list.

   Star Trek 2-       6 mill
Lilith
   Iron-Man 3-     170 mill

Ok guys that's everybodys picks.  Remember you get 3 points for every guesstimate that is within 4 million dollars of the official release numbers.

Now, why did you choose what you chose?

Thats it for today. Gotta get me Handsome sleep (yeah its a thing, don't be sexist)

Pepper and her Potts.

Iron Patriot. F' Yeah America.
Ladies and Gentleman, boys & Girls, children of all ages its Tiiimmmme for the taggg Team Champiooons of the Wooooorld, oh wait wrong blog (prob like 1 person got that). Well really its finally here 2013 Summer Movies. Yeah Boi. And of Course who is the one that starts it off, non other that Marvels own cash cow Robert Downy Jr with Iron-Man 3. My ticket has been bought, IM 1 and 2 have been viewed and my gummy worms are read for intake. No I don't sneak in gummy worms that cost me a dollar when I can just buy some at the theater for 5 buckaroos. Well today is what sets the tone for the next 15 weeks or so. The question is not "if" it is going to do good but how good will IM tres perform.  I believe rather well after reviewing the numbers from previous years and cross checking other three-quel openings.  The thing is what other monster of a movie will go head to head or maybe even surpass the all mighty golden goose(quack). I have to say I am excited about the movies and excited about the Super Awesome Movie Game.  I received many entries, well not as many as last year. I think we made it to the big 10 this time, in entries. I will do the same as last year and make different blogs for the top 10 domestic so you can "Defend Your Honor"  Also what I will do is have little contest every now and then.
For example this week i am going to have a contest of who can guess the Opening Weekend Intake for Iron-Man 3 this week. Who ever gets the closest will win 5 Free Movie Rentals from Red-Box. Cool yeah I know. (Im starting of small to see what the response is)  So go ahead and put your guess in the comment below. Remember to use all number places up to "ones" place (yeah I took it old school, elementary style son), to make sure we have 1 winner.

The deadline to enter your numbers is going to be Saturday 10am central time with winner announced on Monday when official numbers come out.

Well thats it I guess. I wish we had more entries but oh well 10 is cool. All returning champions from years previous have returned as well as last years reigning co-Champions, The Rene and La Rosey. Well that's it for this time.

Be early, you don't want to miss the Previews. Pedaso Afuera,---- Manny's Cool <--- Its True

ps. Stay after the credits.

pps. Sorry so long. . .
